I’m getting a security error when trying to view statistics displayed as a chart

Issue

When using Internet Explorer 6 or 7, I get a JavaScript security error (Access is denied) when trying to view statistics displayed as a chart.

Solution

To resolve this issue, make sure the proper DNS or server name has been entered in the Web application URL field on the General tab in the Configuration Panel.

Note: Depending on your browser’s internet security settings, you might either be prompted with the above-mentioned security error or simply not have the charts display and appear as if your page is hanging.
