What are categories used for?

Categories are used to classify processes of the same type, managed by the same department, and meeting close needs, as well as to perform searches on requests by sorting by category.

Categories can be used to group processes in the New Request list in the User Portal. On the Portal tab in the Configuration Panel, set Display new request in the home page to Display requests grouped by category.
