WorkflowGen 9.2 Beta 4

The WorkflowGen 9.2 release introduces several exciting enhancements to the User Portal.

Changes in Beta 4

  • Action Parameter Editing: The edit action parameter popup dialog has been replaced with a side panel, providing a more intuitive and user-friendly experience when editing parameters.
  • UI Enhancements: Improved UI stability and optimization across the Administration Module for better performance and usability.
  • Modern URLs: Additional improvements for cleaner, more human-readable, and modern URLs in the User Portal.
  • Updates applied to the Neo form style and default process templates.
  • Updated URL Rewrite Rules: Revised rules in the inetpub\wwwroot\web.config file to enhance routing functionality.

Changes in Beta 3

  • Feature (#3927): Introduced a new option allowing users to set a custom view (e.g., search or analytics) as their startup page, replacing the default WorkflowGen dashboard upon first login.
  • Smooth navigation transitions have been added between Portal screens.
  • Enhanced UI stability and optimization for desktop and mobile platforms, including iPhone and Android devices.
  • Improvements applied to the Neo form style and default process templates, delivering a more polished user experience.

Changes in Beta 2

  • Improved dashboard response time for supervisors, ensuring faster loading of dashboards with supervisor-specific widgets.

Responsive Layout

The User Portal now adapts dynamically to various device sizes, offering an optimized and consistent experience across desktop, tablet and mobile.

Frameless Design

Experience a streamlined interface, free of legacy frames, for a more seamless and faster user experience.

Modern URLs

Navigation has been enhanced with clean, human-readable URLs, simplifying access to different pages and UI elements while adhering to modern web standards.

Notes

  • This version extensively uses URL Rewrite in IIS to properly reroute URLs. URL Rewrite rules must be configured in the inetpub\wwwroot\web.config file using the provided configuration file in the installation package.

  • Legacy URLs using the show.aspx endpoint and QUERY query string parameter are deprecated but remain supported without behavior changes.

General Bug Fixes & Improvements

This release also includes various bug fixes and performance enhancements to ensure a smoother and more reliable user experience.

Notes

All Node.js modules (GraphQL v5.2.0, Webhooks v6.1.7, Auth v3.1.0, and SCIM v3.0.13) now require Node.js version 18.20.4 LTS.
