Important known issues
Portal
-
Performance (#3186): Skipped the parent frameset in
/wfgen/default.aspx
. A new URL rewrite rule has been added to provide the same behavior as before. -
Bug (#3202): Advanced view: Quick Approval: Fixed an occasional HTTP
500
exception error when a data column already belonged to a datatable.
Remote Approval (workflow engine service)
-
Feature (#40): Remote Approval now supports delegation mode (e.g. a delegatee can complete an action on behalf of the delegator via approval email reply).
-
Bug (#3204): Fixed a regression issue (introduced in version 7.16.4) where the values of OUT parameters were not returned in the action completion when there were INOUT file parameters (e.g. file attachments).
Auth v2.3.0
-
Enhancement (#3079): OIDC authentication: Added a new configuration option
ApplicationSecurityAuthResponseMode
(default:form_post
) to set an alternative response mode (e.g.query
) that will be used to send back information from the provider to the authentication module if the provider supports it. -
Enhancement (#3134): OIDC authentication: Added a new configuration option
ApplicationSecurityAuthDecodeAccessToken
(default:Y
) to skip the previously required access token decoding, which some authentication service providers do not support (in this case, the GraphQL API can not be used with an opaque access token).
Notes
- All of the Node.js modules (
GraphQL v4.1.6
,Webhooks v5.4.2
,Auth v2.3.0
, andSCIM v2.0.2
) now require Node.js version10.20.1 LTS
.

-
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 is no longer supported as of WorkflowGen version 7.10.0. While SQL Server 2008 is still compatible with WorkflowGen, support for any performance issues or bugs resulting from using SQL Server 2008 will no longer be provided.
For clients currently hosting WorkflowGen on a database server older than MS SQL Server 2012, we highly recommend upgrading to MS SQL Server 2017 or 2019 for the best performance.
