Important known issues

Portal

  • Performance (#3147): Homepage and menu lists: Improved response time when displaying a request or action list with data columns in mono-process mode.

  • Enhancement (#3158): Action follow-up form: Support full name search (first name with last name or vice versa) in the action assignee name filter.

  • Bug (#3152): Fixed a regression issue (introduced in version 7.19.0) in the portal Admin menu link (href value) where it could cause a http 301 redirection error when used with ngrok or a reverse proxy.

  • Bug (#3168): Advanced view: Quick Approval: Fixed an object reference exception error when the action completion’s workflow context contains a DateTime parameter with null value.

  • Bug (#3176): Advanced view: Quick Approval: Fixed alignment and sizing issues in the action column and Quick Approval buttons.

Administration

  • Enhancement (#3151): Macro: Added new system macros.

    • Application config path (<WF_SYSTEM_APPLICATION_CONFIG_PATH>): Returns the physical path to WorkflowGen’s web.config file
    • Application data path (<WF_SYSTEM_APPLICATION_DATA_PATH>): Returns the physical path of the application data folder.

  • Bug (#3156): Fixed an alignment issue in the process data’s form fields selection pop-up dialog when displaying in the Chrome and Edge (Chromium) browsers.

  • Bug (#3173): Fixed an issue where the new process’s file process data looses their orignal file name after importing the process XPDL, creating a new version or duplicating the process.

Form Designer

  • Enhancement (#3162): Added new options to show or hide the Edit and Delete row buttons (in the CommandField) in a gridview control.

WorkflowGen.My v4.6.2

  • Enhancement (#3151): Added a new helper method WorkflowGen.My.Configuration.Configuration.GetWebConfiguration() to load and access a web configuration file which could be used in webforms or workflow assembly apps code-behind.

Docker

  • Bug (#2271): Advanced view: Fixed a search result infinite page loading issue when the Windows container was running in Hyper-V isolation mode.

Database

  • Change (#3180): Updated the SQL reporting module (SQL views) for SQL Server to support the latest database schema changes introduced in version 7.12.0.

Notes

  • All of the Node.js modules (GraphQL v4.1.6, Webhooks v5.4.2, Auth v2.2.1, and SCIM v2.0.2) now require Node.js version 10.20.1 LTS.

Reminders

  • Oracle database is no longer supported as of WorkflowGen version 7.16.0. We recommend migrating to MS SQL Server 2017 or later.

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 is no longer supported as of WorkflowGen version 7.11.0. We recommend migrating to Windows Server 2016 or later.

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 is no longer supported as of WorkflowGen version 7.10.0. While SQL Server 2008 is still compatible with WorkflowGen, support for any performance issues or bugs resulting from using SQL Server 2008 will no longer be provided.

    For clients currently hosting WorkflowGen on a database server older than MS SQL Server 2012, we highly recommend upgrading to MS SQL Server 2017 or 2019 for the best performance.
