Important

  • This patch release is intended for clients running WorkflowGen version 7.15.x.

Portal

  • Performance (#3147): Homepage and menu lists: Improved response time when displaying a request or action list with data columns in mono-process mode.

  • Bug (#2852): Fixed an issue where a web form action would sometimes not complete when PortalActivityCompleteInBackground mode was enabled.

  • Bug (#3168): Advanced view: Quick Approval: Fixed an object reference exception error when the action completion’s workflow context contains a DateTime parameter with null value.

  • Bug (#3202): Advanced view: Quick Approval: Fixed an HTTP 500 exception error when sometime a data column was already belonging to a datatable.

Remote Approval (workflow engine service)

  • Bug (#3124): Fixed a compatibility issue with the TLS 1.2 security protocol.

  • Bug (#3204): Fixed a regression issue (introduced in version 7.15.7) where the value of OUT parameters were not returned in the action completion when there were INOUT parameters of file (e.g. file attachments).

Database

  • Change (#3180): Updated the SQL reporting module (SQL views) for SQL Server and Oracle databases.

Notes

  • All of the Node.js modules (GraphQL v2.0.4, Webhooks v4.0.1, Auth v1.0.3, and SCIM v1.0.2) now require Node.js version 10.15.3 LTS.

Reminders

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 is no longer supported as of WorkflowGen version 7.11.0. We recommend migrating to Windows Server 2016 or later.

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 is no longer supported as of WorkflowGen version 7.10.0. While SQL Server 2008 is still compatible with WorkflowGen, support for any performance issues or bugs resulting from using SQL Server 2008 will no longer be provided.

    For clients currently hosting WorkflowGen on a database server older than MS SQL Server 2012 or Oracle 12c, we highly recommend upgrading to MS SQL Server 2017 or 2019 for the best performance.
