WorkflowGen 8.5.0

This release moves WorkflowGen 8 to Node.js 24 LTS and improves security and reliability in the Administration Module and bundled Node.js applications.

Important

  • WorkflowGen Node.js applications now require Node.js 24.19.0 LTS. Node.js 22 is no longer supported.

  • The WorkflowGen PowerShell installation package installs the required Node.js version automatically. For manual installations, update Node.js before upgrading WorkflowGen.

Security

  • Update (#4759, #4792, #4815): Updated WorkflowGen Node.js and authentication components to address security advisories and strengthen dependency protection.

Administration

  • Bug (#4935): Restored unsaved-changes warnings when leaving WorkflowGen designers and editors in recent Chromium-based browsers.

  • Bug (#4937): Corrected condition and exception editor closing behavior so saved changes are applied correctly and discarded edits do not reappear later.

Node.js Apps

  • Update (#4933): Updated the supported Node.js runtime to Node.js 24.19.0 LTS across WorkflowGen installation options.

  • Bug (#4903): Improved request handling when the same URL parameter is supplied many times.

Notes

  • Node.js modules are GraphQL v5.5.0, Webhooks v6.4.0, Auth v3.4.0, and SCIM v3.4.0. They require Node.js 24.19.0 LTS or later in the Node.js 24 release line.

  • WorkflowGen v8 Docker images remain based on Windows Server 2019 (ltsc2019).
