## WorkflowGen 9.8.1 WorkflowGen 9.8.1 updates Node.js and Docker certificate protections, strengthens MCP Server security, and includes Administration, interface and daylight saving time corrections. These notes describe the changes since WorkflowGen 9.8.0. ### Important - **Node.js:** The minimum recommended version is now **24.22.1** within the Node.js 24 release line. Earlier versions are no longer recommended because they do not include these security fixes. - **Customizations:** Some stock image files have been removed as part of the Lucide indicator update. Review custom image references before upgrading; the affected filenames are listed below. ### Platform - **Update:** Updated the recommended Node.js runtime, PowerShell installation packages and WorkflowGen Windows Docker images to use **[Node.js 24.22.1](https://nodejs.org/en/blog/release/v24.22.1)**. ### Security - **Update:** Updated Authentication, Webhooks and MCP Server components to address known security vulnerabilities. - **Update:** Updated certificate trust in the supplied WorkflowGen Docker images for Windows and Linux in response to the [eMudhra certificate authority incident](https://ubuntu.com/security/notices/USN-8944-1). ### Administration - **Bug (#4217):** When adding process data through Data tab Browse, descriptions now default to the corresponding form field labels. - **Bug (#5006):** Preserved process-data formats, regional settings and numeric precision when reopening and saving the data editor without changing the format. ### WorkflowGen MCP Server - **Update:** Strengthened validation of large MCP requests to help prevent excessive resource use. Very large batch operations may need to be split into smaller requests. ### Docker images - **Bug:** Corrected database health checks and database state handling during backups in the SQL Server Linux Docker image. ### Date and time handling - **Bug (#5152):** Corrected daylight saving time handling for Sydney and Auckland, including historical rules and time conversion during the first hour after daylight saving time starts. ### Lucide indicators and custom image references - **Update (#5040):** Updated Portal sort indicators, Portal and Administration error indicators, and Administration list warnings to use Lucide icons. Thirty replaced or unused stock image files have been removed. - Before upgrading, check custom menus, pages, scripts and skins for references to the filenames below. - Update affected references to an existing image or a replacement image included with your customization. Custom menu icon settings that expect an image URL still require one; a Lucide icon name cannot directly replace an image filename.
