# Workflow Application: RAISEEXCEPTION: EXCEPTION\_NAME and EXCEPTION\_MESSAGE parameters

The following optional parameters are available since version 5.6.4:

**`EXCEPTION_NAME`**

The possible values are `CANCEL`, `ERROR`, `TIMEOUT`, and `ASSIGNMENT_ERROR`. The corresponding exception will be triggered on the action.

**`EXCEPTION_MESSAGE`**

This parameter is used with the `ERROR` exception name to provide more details about the error in the action follow-up form.
