# Workflow Application: CANCELREQUEST usage

The CANCELREQUEST workflow application lets you cancel an ongoing request.

### Required parameter

| Parameter&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; | Type&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; | Direction | Description |

| `REQUEST_ID` | Numeric | IN | The request ID to cancel |

### Optional parameter

| `NOTIFY_PARTICIPANT` | Text | IN | Possible values: `Y` or `N` (default: `N`). If `Y`, request participants will be notified of the cancellation. |

When I set `NOTIFY_PARTICIPANT` to Y, I don’t see any notifications sent out. How exactly does it work? Who gets notified? Everyone in every participants? Everyone involved in the process? I tested this and no email was sent at all.
