# Why are my requests automatically cancelled after a certain number of actions?

WorkflowGen administrators can set the maximum number of instances created per action (default: `1000`). This is a safeguard against infinite workflow loops, but with certain workflow scenarios you might need more instances. You can increase this limit by setting the **Maximum number of simultaneous instance creations per action** value on the **Portal** tab in the **Configuration Panel**.
