# Web Services API: RaiseException: What is the parameter value for exceptionName in RaiseException API method

The possible values are `CANCEL`, `ERROR`, `TIMEOUT`, and `ASSIGNMENT_ERROR`.

Since WorkflowGen version 5.6.4, the `exceptionMessage` parameter is used with the `ERROR` exception to provide more details about the error in the action follow-up form.
