# jQuery Validate Plugin

Hi,  
I’m trying to use jquery validate plugin included in WFGEN (v7.22.4), but I face some difficulties.

In JS editor, pageLoad function, code is :

```auto
$("#form1").validate({
   rules: {
      DEMANDE_ARTICLE: {
         required: true
      }
   }
});

```

where “DEMANDE\_ARTICLE” refers to a dropdown list field.

When submitting form with this field blank, the error message is “Liste déroulante” (french for “dropdown list”). Same occurs with text fields, error message is “Texte”. I don’t understand why default message for required field, “This field is required.”, is not displayed instead.

Could you help me please ?

Nevermind. I’ve just seen that error message displays title attribute content, but still doesn’t know why.  
Just updated my code as is to get it to work as wanted :

```auto
$("#form1").validate({
   ignoreTitle: true,
   rules: {
      DEMANDE_ARTICLE: {
         required: true
      }
   }
});

```
