# I am receiving the following error when launching a new request using Remote Launch: "This process cannot be launched by an external application"

### Issue

I am receiving the following error when launching a new request using Remote Launch: `This process cannot be launched by an external application`.

### Solution

Make sure the process is set as a sub-process. On the process’s **Information** tab, check **Enable sub-process mode**.
