# How to unlock data when a user closes their browser without closing a launched process action

You can manage the data lock timeout through the Administration Module. On the **Portal** tab in the **Configuration Panel** , set the **Request data lock timeout for concurrent applications (minutes)** value.

Once the process data have been unlocked, you’ll need to restore the original value of that property. The simplest solution is to wait for the lock to timeout, which doesn’t require any modifications.
